| I have had to replace two different continental contipro contact tires size: 215 45 r17 due to sidewall damage. (bubbles on sidewalls). car was purchased new 6 months ago and only has 6,000 miles on it. when first tire needed replaced car had about 3,000 miles. that was the passenger side front. the one this week was the driver's side front. i have been driving for 27 years. and prior to this have only had one tire with a problem the sidewall and that was over 20 years ago. again, second tire needing replaced for bubbles on sidewall on a 6 month old car with 6,000 miles. tire dealer said they see alot of problems with the 45 tires. these tires are being put on many brands of cars as standard equipment. as they were on mine. it does not seem like these tires are safe. please look into this problem. as a failed sidewall can be very dangerous, if not deadly. | |||
