| Infiniti has completely left behind owners of the 2003 g35. they had a voluntary service campaign to fix the 'audio finisher' but all they did was put a band-aid on the problem. they only fix the problem once, then the problem continues to happen about once a year. they obviously did not set up the radio/ac controls properly when they originally made the car, which is exactly why you won't see this problem with the 2004 model. now all they say is that it's my problem to get it fixed. this is a severe safety issue for some people, because we cannot use the defrost. infiniti tries to charge about $1000 each time this problem reoccurs. it is ridiculous and sad to think that they expect us to pay this fee about once each year while we own this car. i would not be surprised if someone has already died from a car accident because they could not turn on their defrost in adverse weather conditions. | |||

| My 2003 infiniti g35 sedan has a malfunctioning 3rd brake light. the light has stopped working on my car a few months ago. when i informed the dealership, i was told that they could fix it for a fee. i have spoken with many owners of this car on forums and in person, and many complain of the same problem. the 3rd brake light works intermittetnly or not at all. i think this is a manufacturer defect but infiniti does not agree. my model does not have a spoiler. this is a safety issue and many owners i spoke with feel this is not something that they should pay for. | |||

| There is a known issue with the rear window brake light of the infiniti g35. in 90% of 2003-2004 cars, this issue is known to occur. a non-functioning brake light is a serious safety issue. infiniti has yet to issue a recall. later model years do not suffer as much from this issue. to make things worse, this is not a simple bulb replacement. the g35 has a fancy and expensive led system. a specific diode is known to go bad, which makes this more of a electrical system failure. | |||

| There is an apparent known defect in the 2003 infiniti g35 models. the radio and climate control will apparently lose all indicators, as if there is no power, but will continue to function, staying frozen on at their last settings. the radio volume or channels cannot be changed and the air conditioning/heater,etc. are stuck on their last settings and cannot be changed without turning the car off. this is caused by a defective control board behind the dash. infiniti/nissan is aware of the problem, and has issued a voluntary service campaign (# itb03-007b) to repair the 26,300 vehicles listed by vin # on the service bulletin. this is a hazard , as in the winter, the front or rear defrosters cannot be turned on, or the air conditioning turned off, causing a hazardous driving condition. infiniti says my 2003 vin # does not fall into the bulletin parameters, (vin # is higher), and they will not cover the repairs, even though it is the same problem. infiniti states the cost to repair.........$2600.00. it is apparent that the bulletin did not go far enough to cover this defect on a larger quantity of vehicles than infiniti wants to admit. *tr | |||

| My ac/radio would turn off and on by itself. i would have no control over the heat/ac temperature in my car nor the fan levels. sometimes when this problem was occurring, i could control the radio with the steering wheel controls. this started in the fall of 08'. as time went on the problem became more frequent and would only be corrected if i turned the car off then on again. since early fall 09' i no longer have any control over the ac/radio at all. my ac unit has been stuck at 75 degrees and continuously blows air, at different levels. sometimes it's at high and i have to open a window to bring cool air in and sometimes it runs at a low fan speed. last summer it was not that bad because the problem was not permanent problem at that point, it was just more of an annoyance. this year i fear that i could be in trouble due to the temperature being stuck at 75 degrees and the hot temperatures here in phoenix, my fear is that i will experience heat exhaustion as i am driving and possibly become ill or pass out while driving. | |||

| Problem started with radio not displaying any lights or script across display. after about a week the radio would not come on until the engine had been running for a few minutes and still would not display any lights the whole time. a few days later the temperature controls stopped being accessible. the buttons for the radio and the temp controls don't work. the temperature now does whatever it wants based on the auto controls. it will randomly change whether the air blows from the floor level or on top, and change force of air that blows out. there is no way of setting defrost. the only way anything can be changed with the radio is through the controls on the steering wheel. around september of the previous year the cd player stopped working as well. it would run constantly as if trying to read the disc even when the keys were out of the ignition and won't ever play. it also won't eject the cds. *tr | |||

| In february 2007 the cd player ate my cd and i noticed the heater became deactivated almost simultaneously. this is the 2nd time i would need to replace the audio system. originally, when the car was under warranty, the dealer replaced said system. these are all factory parts. when i reported the problem to the dealership they simply told me i would have to replace the audio system and circuit board unit at a cost of approximately $1500. the problem has been intermittent. i wrote a letter to infiniti requesting financial assistance, more than 6 months ago, and to date never received a response. the dealership knew about this problem, however, it was a independent repair shop that cited the technical service bulletin, and recommended i contact the dealer. as of december 3, 2008, the dealer still expect me to pay for the repairs in total, and assumes no responsibility. *tr | |||
