| For over two years now i have had a severe wobble on the front right tire. i have met two other people that own a 1992 and 1993 that complained about the same problem. at 50 mph the front right tire will wobble uncontrollably and feels like the tire is going to snap off. the entire front end has been replaced along with the tires, in an on-going trial and error process of attempting to discover what is causing the severe wobble and how to correct it. we've had around $5,000 in parts replaced in the front end, to no avail. the wobble is worse than ever and the vehicle is unsafe to drive. i need help. any recalls? *jb | |||

| Driving down the interstate the tire failed without warning. the sidewall gave away. i went to the firestone dealer and was told that the tire was not on recall and it must of been a road hazard problem of which i could not find . i replaced the tire with a different brand and dealer. i still have the tire in possesion. the other 3 tires are still on the vehicle and appear to be in great condition.*ak (dot number: hyhl1py049 tiresize: p23575r15) | |||

| Tire size 22575r15at with 23,000 miles original equipment on 1993 jeep cherokee. consumer noticed that rear right tire was flat. consumer took tire to tire shop, and was told that tire was split down and was dry rotted from the inside at only 23,000 miles.*ak the tire blew out while driving the vehicle. *yh | |||

| Tread separation - tread came off tire intact, separation from sidewall and inner fabric. pictures taken of tire at location. currently have tire at home for inspection. goodyear tire company contacted and a report filed at dealership in st. george, ut., file #417110. goodyear dealer made inspection of tire and gave inspection report to goodyear at time of report. goodyear only willing to give pro-rated cost replacemet of tire at this time, for defective tire replacement. all tires on jeep are original tires delivered with jeep at time of original purchase. dealer inspection states 4/32 depth remaining on tire at time of failure.( dot number: tire size: p225/70r15 ) | |||

| On 4/28/2000 i was traveling at about 65 mph in el paso, tx, when the tire tread separated from the tire on the left rear tire of my 1993 jeep cherokee. when the left rear tire failed, the vehicle started shaking very violently and the back end of the vehicle swung around to the right. at that time, the vehicle started tipping to the right and then the vehicle spun out completely. the vehicle spun around several times before coming to a rest. this occurred during 5pm rush hour traffic on a very busy road. i was extremely lucky that i did not sustain any injuries but my vehicle sustained damage to the rear left wheel well and body damage where the tread came off and hit the back end of the body of the vehicle. the tires were purchased at a firestone dealer in 6/1996. the tires were firestone firehawk atx tires. unfortunatley, i no longer have the failed tire since i was not aware of the problem when the accident occurred. i do have all the receipts showing the purchase of the firestone tires as well as documentation on replacement tires as well as receipts for the parts on my vehicle that had to be repaired due to the tire failure. again, i was very lucky, so i urge you to prevent this situation from occuring in the future if at all possible.( dot number: tire size: 30x9.5xr15 ) | |||
