While driving on a curvy road, my air bag light came on. it now has been coming on intermittently since. upon investigation of other vehicle owners, the electrical connection to the steering wheel looks to be the culprit (the clock spring per jeep). *tr

On the 2008 jeep wrangler (left hand drive) dashboard, the airbag warning light flashes on every other minute with a chime, an indication that there is something malfunctioning or interfering with the vehicle's airbags (clock spring).this has been a recurring issue and concern for many 2008 jeep wrangler (left hand drive) owners, including myself, and has been shown time and time again to be caused by a faulty within the vehicle's steering wheel. this faulty clockspring is the culprit for airbag failure in the 2008 jeep wrangler (left hand drive) during an accident or premature deployment when simply driving around, horn failure, elec. stability control, cruise control (if equipped), failure in turn signals, and difficulty with steering . chrysler has refused to address this safety concern of their faulty clockspring that can cause most importunely failure of the vehicle's airbags from properly deploying. chrysler has made a recall for the 2007 jeep wrangler and certain 2008 right hand drive jeep wranglers. chrysler states that the 2008+ left hand drive jeep wranglers are unaffected by their faulty clock springs, which is not the case for my motor vehicle and several others like myself. *tr

My clockspring has gone bad on my vehicle. the airbag light keeps turning on and off constantly while driving. apparently chrysler has issued a recall for 2007 and some 2008 vehicles but i just called chrysler and they said that my vehicle was not included.

Rear brakes on 2008 wrangler unlimited wore completely out in 24,400 miles. the front brake pads were at 80% according to the jeep dealer service tech. there was no underlying cause such as sticking calipers or slides according to the technician. the discs were scored and needed to be resurfaced. although the end result was within tolerance, the surface of both rotors remained scored in several spots. after complainig to the manager they decided to replace both rear discs with new mopar discs. my fear is not identifying an underlying cause for the premature failure. with advanced design and computer driven sensors, there may be a safety issue yet to be identified. i've never had the need to replace rear brakes on a vehicle so soon and considering the condition of the front brake equipment, my suspicion is a system fault that may need to be identified. please call me with any questions.
