 Windshield cracked in front of driver seat. vehicle was stopped in driveway when a pop was heard. crack went up 2 inches, then slowly over 2 days traveled left then down again 18 inches further. the vehicle was stopped, there were no rock flying or chips anywhere. contacted local dealer about problem. he said they are not aware of any such windshield problems being common with the jeep jk models, he also said chrysler hq is not aware of any such windshield problems being common either. everyone on the internet seems to know about it. i was advised of it by another jeep owner that hey had 2 windshields replaced already, and to watch our windshield, a week later our cracked as well. *tr

 Tl* the contact owns a 2008 jeep wrangler 4x4. the contact stated that water penetrated the vehicle several times through the sunroof, causing the vehicle floor to become saturated and mildew. the vehicle was taken to the dealer who performed a diagnostic and located the failure as the sun roof clips being defected and causing the roof sealant to separate allowing water to penetrate the vehicle. the dealer cleaned the vehicle interior but did not replace the defective clips or reseal the sunroof. the failure mileage was 56,000 and the current mileage was 89,330.
