Dometic refrigerator heat tube malfunction. consumer states that only some parts were replaced. *nj the consumer stated she defrosted the refrigerator and then she switched the control to gas. when she went to open the door, there was a strong smell of ammonia. it was discovered that ammonia was leaking from the boiler tube and was saturating the plywood and the insulation around the tube. the consumer stated the only thing that was done regarding the recall was placing a guard and a small portion of insulation around the boiler tube, in case the boiler tube failed. the consumer stated the recall should have been a complete replacement of the boiler tube system and not just a simple heat shield and a small amount of insulation. *jb
