| In my 2000 land rover discovery 2, as apparently in many others, from time to time, usually after applying the brakes in a routine stop, an alarm chimes and the lights on the dash illuminate showing that the anti-lock braking system is no longer working as well as the hill descent control and traction control system. this is such a common failure that just about every discovery 2 owner knows it by its nickname, the three amigos! clearly a failure in the abs is serious, especially if it results in a valve locking up and disabling the brakes as has possibly happened. the other two functions relate to use in low traction environments, such as snow, and are potentially hazardous as well. i believe this should be a recall issue. this happens every time i drive my discovery, including today (the date i listed below). *tr | |||
