| When starting the vehicle smoke appeared through the cracks of the dash board. the ignition was turned into the off position and when trying to start it again, it didn't turn, the ignition was locked. flames then shot through the cracks on the dashboard near the radio. within seconds the vehicle was engulfed and within 3 minutes it was totaled. thankfully i got out the car in time. *tr | |||

| Bought this vehicle for wife brand new for $80,000. first 38,000 miles best car ever owned. then the landslide began. first bad vibration front end we pay $1,300 for wheel bearings. the the transmission cooler rusted out. our fault salty roads $1,100.00 next the radiator goes $1,800 on us. by now 72,000 miles on it. keep in mind my wife only uses to goto grocery store and pick kids up from shcool. god forbid we ever took it off road or thru the plains of africa. now the biggy starts engine surging for no reason, vibration in steering wheel. yes tires are new and balanced. then the notorious transmission failsafe. limpmode. safety mode. how about sucker mode. take it to dealer and they say need new transmission. i freak and second mechanic there looks at it and said its the transfer case motor $3,100. oh yea that would be on us as well. so i say i'll tell you what put it in writing, that for sure this is the problem and if fixed all my transmission problems go away and if they dont its on you guys until its fixed. yes you know what they said. i mean what happened to honesty and integrity. love your neighbor as yourself. stand by your work. look i knew going into this car it was high maintenance but it does not even have 100,000 miles on it. never fixed. somedays it acts up all day other times once or twice it limps very sporadic. prettyy much a weatherby car. whether or not it will act up or not. ashamed to sell it and give someone else the problems. tried telling people about problems and they said they would give me $7,000 carmax would not touch it actually refused to apprsaise it even though it was the cleanest they have seen. issue the auction had a lemon flag on all the rangerovers with 70,000 miles or more. nice! | |||

| I purchased a 2004 range rover on the evening of 05/12/11 from momentum land rover in texas. on the morning of 05/13/11 the car began to over heat and stopped. took it back to the dealer and they claimed that the wrong type of coolant was placed in the car. mind you, that i did not service the car within the 10 hours i drove off the lot. the car was in the shop for 4 days. picked the car up and two days later the same thing occurred. it over heated and stopped. this time the dealer st that the thermostat needed replacing. the car was there for 15 days. again picked the car up at 6pm and by 4pm the next day the same thing it over heated and stopped. i have purchased a used car before, but i must say this is the worse. | |||

| Car idles high and revs to 4 rpms to change to another gear it appears transmission struggles to switch gears and problem not fixed... i believe it is a dealer defect and should be replaced by dealer ....it appears its a sensor not sending correct message to transmission , however sensor is connected to radiator and thus i would have to replace entire radiator....... this is absolutely a dealer malfunction i should not be responsible for this i have 59,000 miles and my warranty was up at 50 thousand.......has this been reported before?? i asked dealer why hasn't there been a recall if they are aware of problem and he said cause problem doesn't affect car for many years. *tr | |||
