FUEL SYSTEM, DIESEL

I took my 2007 mercedes benz blutech to the dealer for the once a year b service. while they were doing the service, they noticed diesel fuel leaking behind the left rear tire. i had them perform an inspection for $135 and they determined that fuel was leaking out of the left fuel level sender area with no visual damage. they recommended replacing left tank seal and inspecting tank and sensor for cracks for $368. before having the work performed , i went on the internet and found others having the same problem with their mercedes with nhtsa action #pe12001. we had no fuel smell or any indications there was a leak. i feel this is a serious defect and mercedes benz should recall these vehicles before someone gets killed. *tr
