| Tl- the contact owns a 2009 mercedes ml 320. the contact stated the hitch broke off of the vehicle. the contact was taking the vehicle through a big wash and the weld seams on the vehicle broke off. the contact took the vehicle to the dealer and was told the failure was caused by rust. the vehicle was being repaired, but the dealer suggested the contact get a bigger vehicle to haul a trailer. the contact is concerned because the trailer that was being hauled was under the specifications listed for that year model vehicle. the contact stated their was a recall for the 2006-2008 model year. those were recalled under nhtsa recall campaign id number: 08v242000 (trailer hitches). the failure mileage and current mileages were 38,000.rl | |||
