Defect SummaryVehicle description: passenger vehicles equipped with trw seat belt buckle assemblies. the buckle base of these seat belt assemblies were not properly heat treated and therefore do not pass the load bearing requirement of federal motor vehicle safety standard no. 209, seat belt assemblies.
Consequence SummaryIn the event of a vehicle crash, the occupant may not be properly restrained.
Corrective SummaryDealers will inspect the date code on certain seat belt buckles of your vehicle and replace all seat belt buckles that fall within the suspect date code range.

 After engine is running for over 500 miles,(ie road trip)the van starts to buck and buck, engines hesitakes,no power is this a engine vapor lock problem. dealer could find no problem with engine test machine.

 Seat belt in middle seat keeps tightening own its own. seat belt tightens until alot of pressure is on chest. to release pressure consumer has to unbuckle belt.*ak

 Dealer has not received parts to repair recall. consumer has been trying to have this fixed since january, but received letter in december.*ak the consumer states that fixing the defect requird more than 3 months. the conditon had put the consumer at risk. *yh
