| Cannot fill gas tank normally. with a 1/4 tank, there is back-fill that causes the gas pump to 'click' off as if it is full. other times, you hear the 'swooshing' sound of a back-fill, and gas has come flying back out at me while 'attempting' to put gas in the car - severe hazard!!! checked the code and sure enough, like thousands of others, voila - it's the evap canister vent valve malfunction... in this case, it's 'closed'. it can take up to 8 minutes to put 2 gallons worth of gas in, needless to say, vapor fumes are strong, and gas dribbles out. filling up this vehicle is a pain in the _____. it appears to be a well documented issue with nissan vehicles and it appears to me, nissan does not want to take care of this issue. | |||

| I bought me a 2005 nissan sentra 1.8 on january of 2010. i was told by the dealer that they get great gas milage and are a very reliable car to have. i have learned fast this was not so. my car is now not wanting to start, it is shifting very hard and sometimes wont shift and i can smell something burning ecpecilly when driving up a hill, my keypad will not work to lock or unlock my car but will open the trunk, the lock-unlock button inside the car will not work, and none of my windows will roll down. this is bs. i have told and will proceed to tell everyone i know to not buy a nissan. this has made me not want to trust any of your vehicles again and i will probably go to a diff. dealer and get soething well worth my money. i am not paying 8,000 dollars on a car that just keeps tearing up, ecpecilly when parts are way to expinsive! | |||

| I recently had to have the crank sensor replaced on my 2005 nissan sentra 1.8l engine. i found that there was a recall for the 2005 sentra 2.5 l engine, but not the 1.8l engines. i feel that there should be a recall in this case, because my car shut down many times on the high way with no warning. the car completely stalled out and stopped working, and it's a real danger to those on the road. | |||

| Driving on the highway. engine check light came on. car would only do 10 miles per hour on a superhighway - very very dangerous. i was able to drive 2 miles this way on very side of road to side road where i parked. when i started it up again it drove normally. this check engine light is very dangerous. i see there is a lot of trouble with nissan sentras. alot of trouble. it is time for this govt agency to start working for consumers and stop being front men for car companies. the car only has 57000 miles on it. i was scared out of my mind and very frightened. i am 73 years old. *tr | |||
