| My daughter had an accident yesterday and she hit someone on the front drivers side. the impact was on the front drivers side and the front fender and other parts of the front bumper. the disturbing part of this is that the airbag did not deploy. the policeman and tow truck driver were very concerned that the airbag did not employ. she could have been seriously injured. she appears to be sore at this point. | |||

| Nissan transmission last just five years before you needs to replace them i was driving on the highway going around 65 to 75 mph when my car started to slow down. i pulled over to the nearby exit into a gas station turn off my car and add more gas and oil into the car. when i turn back on my car i notice that my check engine light was on, got a diagnostics the check engine light code was po840 and po845 codes mean transmission fluid pressure sensor/ switch. took my car to nissan dealer repair shop they said that my transmission was going out and i need to replace my transmission. got in contact with nissan consumer affairs they refuse to fix my problem. my nissan is a five year old car with 133000 mile this is the first time i had any major problem with my car. i cannot afford to repair my transmission that cost $ 3600.00 dollars just for the parts not the lobar. i need to know what i can do to get nissan to fix my car for free. i also like to know if anyone else had this problem and what did you do to solve your issues. *tr | |||

| The nissan cvt transmission should be recalled voluntarily due to a major defect that seems to be causing the transmission to overheat and fail. for the past 3 weeks, my car has been hesitating from a dead stop, which i chalked up to high temperatures and a/c useage. additionally, the car was whiny when traveling at highway speeds. when the transmission finally gave out, the speedometer and odometer completely stopped working. the car continued to accelerate for a brief period of time, then the rpm's were terribly erratic and the car stopped accelerating all together. the engine compartment had a foul odor coming from it. after allowing the car to sit for about 30 minutes, we proceeded on to a dealership where the problem was diagnosed as a bad transmission. this left us stranded with no car in another state so we had to rent a car to make it home, and will have to travel out of state to retrieve the car when it is fixed, which is approximately 2 weeks because that is how long it will take the dealership to get the part in stock. when i contacted nissan, i was offered no help... thank goodness the transmission is under warranty, but they made no offer to help us get the car to our home state - basically it was our tough luck. if they would have issued a recall for this defect, this would have never happened. i am posting my experience, along with thousands of other sentra owners online in as many forums as possible so people can prepare for this problem that will happen with their cars. we will never buy a nissan again! | |||

| Tl- the contact owns a 2007 nissan sentra. the contact stated that while driving 60mph the vehicle started bucking and wouldn't go over 20mph. she got the vehicle off the road and called nissan. they sent a tow truck but he could not tow the vehicle because there were two many passengers. he checked the transmission fluid and it was empty. the owner got transmission fluid and added it. the vehicle continued to buck. she called nissan again and they came and towed it to the dealership. the dealer would not do diagnostics because they stated the warranty was void because there was transmission fluid spilled on the engine and the transmission was the wrong type. the vehicle has not been repaired. the failure mileage was 60,000. rd | |||

| When i purchased my 2007 nissan sentra i heard a ticking sound under the vehicle took it to the dealer once they said it was normal. it got worse took it again they said nothing was wrong. now i found out that both of the front axles are leaking grease everywhere only its been awhile now my vehicle is no longer under warranty. what this has caused is the vehicle to shake and the motor mount to crack. also the brake master cylinder was recalled they replaced it and it is leaking bad one day my brakes failed almost causing an accident had to add brake fluid leaks out every week. please help me thankyou | |||
