| Tl-the contact owns a 2006 toyota tacoma. the contact stated the console latching mechanism has failed. the console was located in the middle between the driver and passenger seats. the console flips up and will not close. the vehicle was taken to the dealer who stated they would have to replace the entire console for $320. the manufacturer was contacted who stated he would have to replace the entire console and pay the cost of $320. there are no recalls or warranty. the contact files a claim#107261979. the vehicle was not repaired. the failure mileage was 55,800...mw | |||

| Tl-the contact owns a 2006 toyota tacoma. the rear passenger locks actuator has fail. the wires were unplugged from inside the doors. the vehicle was taken to the dealer who repaired the wires by plugging them back together. they were not covered under the warranty it was an expense for him. the manufacturer was called and he did not receive a favorably answer. the failure mileage was 45,000....mw | |||

| Tl*- the contact owns a 2006 toyota tacoma , cab. cruise control malfunctioned. while driving at 60 mph the vehicle surged at 5100 rpms, and down shifted before adding fuel. the failure almost caused the vehicle to crash into a barrier. a product engineer inspected the vehicle, and stated that it performed as designed and according to the contact the design was incorrect. this failure occurred since august 2006. the contact stated that the door should lock after engaging the gears. the dealer stated it was designed that way, and they're unable to reprogram it to make it auto lock. the owner mailed a detailed failure report to the president of toyota. the failure mileage was 8000, and the current mileage was 15100.*ak | |||
