VEHICLE SPEED CONTROL - ACCELERATOR PEDAL
10/11/2001212/01/1997
Accelerator stuck at an intersection while my wife was driving. she was unable to move the car and called me on her cell phone. i told her to stomp the pedal to rock it loose. this is s safety concern. it happened be fore with me while the car was still in warranty. the dealer fixed it. now that the warrenty expired, the dealer/ manufacturer said it is a maintenace problem and i have to pay for the repair. they also said it will happen every 10,000 miles. the problem, they said is caused by a carbon buid up and occurs in all automobiles. it seems to me that it is a defect that must be corrected.*ak
