| Tl- the contact owns a 2009 mercury mountaineer. the contact states that when he rocks the steering wheel it makes a popping noise. the contact stated that it is a rack and pinion defect issue. he contact took the vehicle to the dealer and they stated that all of the ford and mercury vehicles of that year and model are designed the same way. the driver side tire on the inside also has abnormal wear, which the owner states could also be the rack and pinion or a tie rod issue. the vehicle has not been repaired. the failure and current mileages were 22,000. rd | |||
