ELECTRICAL SYSTEM

Abrupt on/off throttle can cause sudden and unexpected rapid deceleration and acceleration, destabilizing the vehicle potentially leading to loss of control and a crash. the problem seems to occur at lower engine rpm's (4,000-6,000 rpm) and seems most prevalent at high engine temperatures (205+ degrees) and especially when the vehicle is turned on and started while at higher temperatures. this could be from a rusting throttle control valve that is not opening correctly. the bike was stored indoors and rarely saw rain, should not be rusting.

Motorcycle cut off, and lost power while driving. i was not able to start the motorcycle again after that. there is a recall on the voltage regulator for the same year (2007) but for the gsxr 1000
ELECTRICAL SYSTEM - IGNITION

2007 suzuki gsxr-750 motorcycle. throttle unresponsive from 5% - 20%. impossible to hold steady throttle. when the gas does come on it not gradual, but jumps instantly to 20% throttle position...potentially causing rider to loose control of vehicle and crash. *tr
ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING

Tl*the contact owns a 2007 suzuki gsx-r750. while traveling at approximately 45 mph without accelerating, the throttle released in a downward shift position. the vehicle jerked forward unexpectedly. when the ignition was not turned off, the vehicle would run properly. the contact was concerned of the safety risk involved. the vin was unknown. the failure mileage was 700 and current mileage was 1,534.

2007 suzuki gsxr750 problem began when bike was new from the showroom and continues to the present the problem is a rapid and abrupt throttle closing, and is often encountered when the motorcycle is at a cruising speed and the throttle is being maintained (the bike is just maintaining speed, not accelerating). whenever the throttle is modulated to lessen the speed, the bike reacts as if the rider had just closed the throttle completely and the bike begins to engine brake, hard. the failure, the abrupt closing of the throttle despite minute adjustments to the controls, occurs often, but it will happen always or not at all and seemingly without reasoning as the bike's ecu shows no errors or dealer codes and all systems related to the function of the throttle have been checked and are in spec. as for the frequency, the bike will experience the failure 100% of the time the situation is encountered if the bike has done it at all on that ride. if you start the bike and the problem does not occur, it will not occur again atleast until the bike is stopped, shut down, let sit, and restarted. however at the same time, if the problem is occurring, it will continue occurring atleast until the bike is shut off, etc and restarted. when traveling in a straight line, the problem is more annoying than anything else, but if the motorcycle is engaged in a long medium/high speed sweeping turn, and the rider encounters the problem, the results could be rather catastrophic as a sudden decrease in speed would cause a loss in centrifugal forces which keep the motorcycle balanced throughout the turn. this problem could very well lead to the severe injury/death of a rider even when utilizing the motorcycle within standard operating procedure. *tr

Gsxr 750 having throttle issues around 4,000rpm. power shuts off, then comes back on abruptly. feels like bike is stalling, then start again. very dangerous when turning or cruising around town with cars behind you while you have sudden loss of power. no causes found as to why it's happening. suzuki dealerships should recall these 2007 bikes. this problem is unacceptable. i am selling my bike immediately. i feel it is unsafe to ride in this condition with throttle instability. this happens in every gear around 4,000rpm. dealer can't find a way to fix the problem, and i am done wasting money taking it to a shop. suzuki needs to do something about this! *tr

I have cut and pasted the complaint of a fellow forum member since our problems are the same. please help us resolve this issue. the problem has been labeled the herky jerkies. while riding at any rpm when the rear wheel speed matches engine speed the throttle shuts off abruptly with no warning, throwing you forward overloading the front wheel. when the wheel slows enough that the ecu calls for fuel it delivers a large amount of fuel and the bike jerks forward unloading the front wheel causing an unrecoverable front wheel slide (while leaned over in a turn). there is a large amount of people including myself working on the problem, we have discovered ways to mask the problem but no resolution to date. suzuki has received many complaints and is not doing anything about it. i have called in numerous times starting some time around march. i have been working with people on gixxer.com it's a forum for gsx r owners and there are many threads concerning this issue. i / we are hoping that your organization will be able to solicit a response from suzuki, seeing as though they are ignoring us. *tr

Herky-jerky is when fuel shuts off at 1-5% throttle, not 0%. then it does not come back on until 5%+ throttle. it is impossible to hold a steady throttle between 1-5% throttle no matter what gear or what speed. *tr

When in motion, at varying constant speed, as throttle is open and held at about 10%, motorcycle engine would buck on and off repeatedly until you either accelerated or change gear. this is a very dangerous behavior when going around a curve as the on off sensation is very abrupt and can unbalance the handling of the bike. *tr

Tl*the contact owns a 2007 suzuki gsx-r750. while driving between 80-100 mph and attempting to make a turn, the contact applied the brakes and the motorcycle whipped him over the handle bars. the frame separated and the body of the motorcycle split in half. he landed approximately 100 feet from the motorcycle and sustained a few broken fingers on his left hand and major bruises. the contact was transported to the hospital and released shortly after. he took the vehicle to the dealer and they kept it for a week. at the end of the week, the dealer informed the contact that they would send out a questionnaire regarding the incident. the contact has not received anything nor has he heard from them since. the dealer still has possession of the motorcycle, but no repairs have been performed. the current and failure mileages were 14,900.

I was coming to a stop at a t intersection when my motorcycle fell. i got back up to try and move it but the motorcycle would not move. i fell on my left side but found out that the right side of my rotor inner mounting plate was bent. the approx speed i was going was 15 mph. i sent my motorcycle into the shop the next day and contacted suzuki. they sent me a packet and after i filled it out sent it back in. since then i got a voicemail from their rep saying i pushed on the brakes too hard. i have been trying to call back for a couple of weeks now leaving voice messages and haven't gotten a call back from yet. *tr

Bike unexpectedly accelerates. no control. happen at low speed after riding rough and bucking and coming out of a turn. it accelerated so fast it threw me off, took off and laid on its side red lining. no control and really scary. throttle did not responded. this happened at a low rpm. don't know if i trust the bike to even get back on (wont start now). *tr
