Defect SummaryOn certain motor homes built on prevost chassis, the steering gear box is mounted on a support located under the driver's seat floor. on motor home models, this support varies in height with the optional interior height. with 83 and 86 inch height options, the support may be overloaded in certain operation conditions.
Consequence SummaryA continuously fully loaded vehicle that has to maneuver in tight space frequently can develop stress cracks at the steering gear box support. a loss of control could occur, increasing the risk of a crash.
