| Defect Summary | Certain replacement fuel filters, fram brand name p/n g3727, with date codes x52911 through x60801 sequentially or x600141 and a mexico country or origin marking on the fuel filter housing manufactured from october 18, 2005, through march 21, 2006, sold for use on the vehicles listed above and on certain school buses. (to see the school bus engine sizes, click on document search and then bus applications). the connector on the fuel filter was not manufactured to honeywell's specification. as a result, the o-ring may not seat correctly on the fuel line. | |||||||||||||||

| The alternator on my 1988 bonneville sse has failed five times since new, the last time after only less than 18k miles and less than 2 years, each time stranding me. it is my understanding that all bonnevilles from 1987 through mid-1992 model year have very high failure rates on altnernators, perhaps because the alternators were too small for the electrical load on the bonneville. this represents a serious safety hazard for the owners of these bonnevilles, including me, because when the alternator fails, it strands the owner. a recall is clearly indicated, since there are millions of these cars still on the road.*ak | |||
