| Defect Summary | Certain fifth wheel and travel trailers equipped with a two-door refrigerator, manufactured by the dometic corporation, may have a defect in certain tubing in the refrigerator which could allow pressurized flammable coolant solution to be released into an area where an ignition source (gas flame) is present. | |||||||||||||||

| Tl*the contact owns a 2000 keystone springdale. the vehicle has a dometic refrigerator, model rm2652. the contact plugged in a power cord and the dometic exploded. the fire extinguished itself. the contact has pictures and an email from dometic. soon after the explosion, the contact received a safety recall notice from dometic (nhtsa campaign id number 07v134000 equipment:recreational vehicle). she called dometic and was informed that the explosion had nothing to do with the recall. the vin was unknown. the purchase date and part number were unknown. | |||
