Failure of trailing arms on monaco / navistar manufactured motor homes. this is a major part of the frame. several hundred have failed (broken). if this part fails on the highway it can lead to a major accident due to the large size of the vehicle. 26,000 pounds plus. this problem covers approx 2800 vehicles and the cost of repairs is between 4000.00 to 5000.00 us dollars that is 11 to 12 million dollars in total. if and when this part fails it causes catastrophic damage to the vehicle and causes complete loss of vehicle control and great damage to the vehicle. the vehicle may not be repairable after failure. monaco / navistar nor their insurance / bonding company have not made parts available for the repair and have not accepted responsibility for the repairs. this part can fail at any time on the highway without pre warning of the failure. *tr
