 Dt keyless entry pad caught on fire,vehicle was in garage could spell smoke, had to disconnect the battery. contacted the dealer said there is no recall, contacted the manufacturer said they couldn't do anything cause the vehicle is no longer under warranty. water can get down in the switch and combination of age can create a problem. there should be a solid cover over this. *nm

 While driving the entire dashboard failed along with the air conditioning and interior dome light. the dealer diagnosed that an electrical short was the cause of the problem. *nlm

 Dt*: the contact stated the fitting that connects the heater line to the intake manifold fractured and detached. as a result of the failure, the vehicle over heated. the contact saw steam coming from underneath the hood and pulled the vehicle over for inspection. the vehicle was towed to an independent repair shop for repairs. the manufacturer was contacted and determined the time had expired for the 7 year replacement for a free remedy.

 While driving in traffic, consumer states that vehicles engine seized. consumer was almost rear ended. took to dealer and the dealer said the idler cooling valves failed. please provide any further information. ts

 July 15,2005, i took my grand marquis l999, to glades ford because it was stalling as if it was going to cut off. i was told, spark plug #8 and the coil was bad. it was repaired at a cost of $337.94 . august 2005 had same problem and was told it was the manifold. had this repaired ll.22.05,cost $960.63. advised by richard t. doorman esq. of cunningham< bounds< yance, crowder & brown llc, p. o. box 66705, mibil, al 36660 to take my receipts to glades ford of belle, glade, fl before march 16, 2006, i took the receipts to glades ford, january 23, 2006. mr. antonio bellorin, service advisor took the information and said i would be contacted. after not being contacted in approximately three months, i returned to the dealership and inquired about my refund. mr bellorin went into the business office and returned in about 45 minutes. he said, they will be refunding my money and i should wait until they get the make out the check. after waiting for more than 45 minutes, an office worker(lady) came out and told me ford motores will not refund my money because it had been more than seven years. i purchased the grand marquis octoer , 1998 it is a 1999. i had stated previously, it was taken in for repair in july, 2005 and again august, 2005, i did not have the $900+ they were asking for in august, 2005. october 26, 2006, i received a letter from ford customer service division , stating i had recently spoken to a representative at their customer relationship center . i did not speak to any customer relationship center. october 17, 2006, i wrote a letter requesting reimbursement for that maniford repair and the money i paid in july.. *jb

 Tl - the contact owns a 1999 ford grand marquis. the contact stated while changing the passenger side rear tire the factory issued jack failed to support the weight of the vehicle and bent. the equipment was not taken to the dealer to be inspected. the manufacturer was not notified of the failure. the failure and current mileage was 88,000. rvk

 Thed outer tie rod on the right front turning wheel fell off while backing out of my driveway. the tierod ends need to be replaced. please note that a warning letter was sent out for this problem on my 1998 f150 but none on this vrhicle. it was related to corrosion. i will save the old part. if this had happened while negotiating a curve at highway speeds it could have been catistraffic or even worse.*ak
